Number plate version 1.1.0 released – now also in Russian and Italian

On November 24th, 2009 we released Kennzeichen/ Number Plate / numéros minéralogique / Targa / номерной знак v1.1.0. So what’s new and what does it do anyways? And why all the Names??

First of all what does it do? In most countries the area where a car was registered is somehow encoded, be it a combination of numbers (eg. in France “75″ stands for Paris, in Russia 77 stands for Moskow / например “77″ для москвы ) or a combination of letters (eg. in Germany “B” stands for Berlin, “L” for London and so on). The app lets you search for these region codes of international licence plates. It also features reverse search eg. if you type in Manchester you will be shown all region codes for cars registered in Manchester.

Supported Countries:

Austria, Germany, Great Britain, France, Italy, Switzerland, Россия (Cyrillic) and Russia (Latin) –> Thats why all the names
